The Firestarter is the most defensive blade from Sauer & Tröger. The exquisite veneers were specially selected so that you feel the maximum control of a table tennis blade. Due to the special CBIF gluing the forehand is a little bit faster than the backhand. This allows you to play the attacking strokes with the forehand with even more speed.
Due to a long storage and drying time the blade permanently keeps the playing characteristics, which it already has at the time of purchase.
Forehand:
When you hit the ball with your forehand, you notice how the ball digs into the rubber and blade. This creates a moderate catapult effect, which makes the ball fly in a higher arc to the other half of the table. The rotation development is enormous. It will be easy for you to place the balls exactly and thus put your opponent in trouble. You can easily make your own attacks with an early ball meeting point.
In passive play, hardly any blade will surpass the Firestarter. It defuses even the most powerful attacking shots effortlessly. If you want to drive your opponent to despair with the control, the Firestarter is exactly the right blade for you.
Backhand:
The feeling of security on the backhand is ideal for players whose block balls have so far sailed beyond the table. The blade provides excellent control even with fast pimples rubbers. The balls bounce flat and with lots of rotation on the opponent’s half. You can equalize speed and spin with the Firestarter and become the safest player in the hall. The CBIF gluing is clearly noticeable and makes the blade very flexible.
The low speed gives you more time to prepare for your next shot.
