-Two new titles for MA Lin in Qatar

MA Lin proved to be in excellent shape when he won both the single and double events at Qatar Open.

MA together with WANG Hao lost only one set during the whole tournament on their way to the title. It was in the final against their countrymen MA Long and ZHANG Jike.

In the single event MA had two comfortable wins in the two first round against MENGE (TUR) and LEE Jung Wo (KOR). In the third round he had a hard battle against LI Ching (HKG) but finally MA won 4-2. In quarterfinal CRISAN (ROU) could not callange MA and it was a rather easy 4-1 win for MA.

In the semfinal MA won against the World Champion WANG Liqin 4-0. In the final against world ranked number one WANG Hao MA won the first three sets and the title was near but somehow WANG Hao managed to fight back and took the following two sets. The sixth game was very exciting and close but in the end MA Lin was the winner after winning15-13.
